One Heart and One Mind

Zion is defined in a single verse — of one heart and one mind, dwelling in righteousness, with no poor among them — and these essays read it as anatomy rather than aspiration. They trace how the many become one: the stone heart made flesh, the body with one circulation and one Head, the loaf broken so its grains can join, hearts knit loop to loop, each soul tuned to Christ rather than to the neighbor beside it — until the two Zions, approaching one another since Enoch, fall at last on each other’s necks.
