God is love, and love has no wrath
What the old language calls "the wrath of God" or "the wrath of the Lamb" is love itself, experienced by a heart still clinging to fear. To one running home, His face is joy; to one still hiding, the same face feels like fire — but the fire is in the hiding, not in the love. The day is "great and dreadful": great to the child, dreadful only to the fear.

Truth may still carry wrath, in the sense that once deceit is exposed to it, the illusion is destroyed and incapable of being recreated. It may not feel like love at first, but cleaning the wound rarely feels good.
