Wheat and Tares

The tares are lies, not people — sown into the field of the heart while we sleep, and growing up tangled with the wheat. These essays learn to read a seed by the way the soul moves when it lands, to hear the counterfeit’s accent, and to trust the two-edged word that can part a lie from the soul it grew in without wounding the heart that held it.
